General Questions
The basics you need to know
We're celebrating twice! The Traditional Wedding will be held in Lagos, Nigeria on December 19, 2026. The White Wedding will take place in Houston, Texas on April 17, 2027.
Visit our Celebrations page for full event details as they become available.
Not at all! We completely understand that geography and schedules make it challenging. Please attend whichever celebration(s) work for you. When you RSVP, simply let us know which event(s) you plan to join.
Plus-ones are by invitation only due to venue capacity. If your invitation includes a guest, you'll see "+ Guest" on your RSVP. If you're unsure, please reach out to us directly.
We love children, but both ceremonies are adult-only events to allow all our guests to relax and enjoy the celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope this gives parents a wonderful opportunity for a date night!
Lagos Traditional
December 19, 2026 • Nigeria
Aso-ebi is the traditional matching fabric worn by family and friends at Nigerian celebrations. If you're close family or in the bridal party, you'll receive aso-ebi information separately.
For other guests, aso-ebi is not required. You're welcome to wear traditional Nigerian attire (Igbo isiagu, Yoruba agbada/buba, etc.) or formal cultural dress. See our Lagos event page for detailed dress code guidance.
Traditional Nigerian attire is encouraged! Think bold colors, elegant gele (headwraps), coral beads, and cultural pride. Full details and examples are on the Lagos event page.
Yes! Lagos is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city. We're hosting the wedding in a secure venue with professional security. We'll provide detailed transportation, safety tips, and local contact information closer to the date. See our Lagos guide for more.
We recommend using reputable ride-hailing apps (Uber, Bolt) or hotel-arranged transport. Avoid unmarked taxis. Traffic can be heavy, so plan to leave early. We'll provide shuttle information for the wedding venue closer to the date.
Houston White Wedding
April 17, 2027 • Texas
Formal / Black-tie optional. Think elegant evening wear, sophisticated suits, floor-length gowns, or your finest cocktail attire. Full guidance is on the Houston event page.
We've arranged room blocks at nearby hotels with special rates for our guests. Details and booking links will be shared on the Houston page once the venue is confirmed.
Yes! Parking details, including whether it's complimentary or valet, will be shared closer to the date. We'll also coordinate shuttle service from nearby hotels.
Please arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony start time to allow for parking and seating. The ceremony will begin promptly, followed by the reception. Full timeline will be provided on the Houston event page.
RSVP & Logistics
Planning your attendance
Please RSVP as soon as possible! We need accurate headcounts for catering, seating, and planning. Specific RSVP deadlines will be communicated, but earlier is always better.
Yes! Life happens and plans change. Please contact us at [email protected] if you need to update your RSVP.
We want everyone to enjoy the meal! Please note any dietary restrictions, allergies, or preferences on your RSVP form and we'll work with our caterers to accommodate you.
Yes! We'll have professional photographers and videographers at both events. We kindly ask that you enjoy the ceremony unplugged — put away phones and cameras during the ceremony itself. You'll have plenty of opportunities for photos at the reception!
Registry & Gifts
Blessing our new home
Your presence is the greatest gift! If you'd like to celebrate with a gift, you can find our registry and preferences on our Registry page.
Whatever feels right to you! We're grateful for any gesture. Some guests prefer monetary gifts (which help us with our home and honeymoon), while others enjoy selecting something from our registry. Both are deeply appreciated.
